			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Well, after a few long hours of learning and playing around with code, I&#8217;ve managed to get evandj.com up and running.</p>
<p>So, I figured I would document most of it so if anyone is in the same shoes as I was, this can be some sort of help. Firstly, I&#8217;d like to throw this resource out there: <a href="http://rubiqube.com/wordpress-cms-part-1-settings-and-plugins/">Rubiqube</a></p>
<p>He has a lot of good stuff for the beginnings of a traditional website using wordpress. Now, I&#8217;m beyond that as well as part 2, so I&#8217;m using my own knowledge of CSS and other stuff to make it look the way I want it to.</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t already, I would suggest downloading <a href="http://getfirebug.com/">firebug</a>. It&#8217;s a great tool to help you figure out how the CSS should be built and to test different things.</p>
<p>I think my next step is to spiff it up a little bit by getting a little more into the design aspect and the look of the website. </p>
